This oval frame has been purchased on the flea market in Lisbon. It has the wood base and missed some parts of the decorative golden details. I decided to leave it the way it was, only restoring it. On the first photo you can see the work already has been started by filling the missing parts with the white bitumen (twice). Later on I polished it for to have the desired shape. Doing it I have had to glue some pieces that fell apart. After that I have added imitation gold leaves to the frame. In order to have a gold vintage effect I put some wax on the gold parts.
